A five man Board of
Directors oversees the corporate activities of Petrodev Oil and Gas,
providing overall strategic direction for the enterprise, ensuring
resources are in place to pursue our vision of outstanding corporate
performance, and encouraging adherence to strong ethics and best
practices in corporate governance. The members of the Board are:
General Dr. Yakubu Gowon GCFR CHAIRMAN |
 | General Dr. Yakubu Gowon
is a former Head of State and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces
(President) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He holds a PhD degree
(Political Science) of the University of Warwick, UK alongside several
awards and honorary degrees of various universities. A visionary
selfless leader, he successfully steered the national affairs of Nigeria
for nine years, including remarkably during her most difficult civil
war years. General Dr. Yakubu Gowon has remained a political icon and an
eminent African elder statesman whose support and positive intervention
is often sought by various governments, diplomatic and business
leaders, and whose voice is most respected on national and international
affairs

Don Ezeh MANAGING DIRECTOR |
 | Chief Don Ezeh
is an experienced management professional with a strong background in
oil and gas finance, contracts and commercial services management. With
Accountancy and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, Don had
a remarkable 27 years career with the Shell Group during which he held a
number of senior management positions including Head of Exploration
& Production Africa Regional Finance, and worked on project
assignments in Shell establishments in London, Aberdeen (Scotland) and
The Hague, Netherlands. Don's career years include extensive corporate
leadership training programs at various institutions including the
London Business School. He brings to the Board uncommon valuable
experience in working with teams of culturally diverse nationalities,
and in close collaboration with petroleum engineers, geologists and
other professionals to deliver major projects for Shell. In his later
career roles, he successfully managed the often complex relationship
with Government and the NNPC, the national oil company of Nigeria. Don
has served as a director for a number of companies including Donnia
Anderson Consulting Limited. Lagos.

Diamond Ovueraye TECHNICAL DIRECTOR |
 | Chief Diamond Ovueraye
is an experienced petroleum engineering professional and a former Shell
International Group Drilling Adviser. He holds a Masters degree in
Petroleum Engineering from Canbourne University, UK and a Diploma in
Business Management Studies from Cranfield University, UK. Diamond had a
remarkable 30 years career with the Shell Group during which he held a
number of senior management positions including Well Engineering
Manager, Shell Nigeria. His career track record included extended work
assignments to Sarawak Shell (Malaysia), Shell Nederland (Assen), and
Shell International (The Hague). He brings to the Board valuable
technical and management experience and insight. Chief Ovueraye is
currently Chairman of Dakotelin Nigeria Limited - an Integrated Oil
& Gas Services Company and a Director of Masurin Tec Limited a
Surface/Subsurface Engineering Services Company. He is also Chairman of
Sara Petroleum Services Limited and Dakotelin Security Systems Limited.

Lt. Colonel Paul Edor Obi DIRECTOR |
 | Lt. Colonel Paul Edor Obi
is a graduate of the prestigious US Army Aviation School Fort Rucker
Alabama and the Nigerian Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna. He had
23 years of distinguished military career with the Nigerian Army,
serving as Platoon Commander under the United Nations Interim Force in
Lebanon (UNIFIL), and Company Commander in Liberia with ECOWAS
Monitoring and Observer Group (ECOMOG). Col Obi was a member of the
Joint Ceasefire Monitoring Committee which implemented the Cotonou
Ceasefire Accord of 1993 leading to the return of democracy to Liberia.
He was awarded the Force Service Star (FSS) and UNIFIL Medal for Service
in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon as well as the ECOMOG
Peace Medal in Liberia. Colonel Paul Edor Obi was the Military
Administrator of Bayelsa State of Nigeria 1998-1999, a position in which
he successfully managed the complexities of the Niger Delta region,
working closely with major oil companies, representatives of the
communities and the Federal Government. He is currently the Chairman/CEO
of Pauliza Limited, an indigenous oil company based in Lagos. He has
attended various oil industry workshops including the Offshore
Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, USA, the Offshore Africa (OWA)
in Abuja, and World Petroleum Congress (WPC) in Brazil and South Africa.
He is also on the Boards of Concert Alliance Ltd, Next Generation,
United Mortgage Bank Limited, Rode & Roke Ltd, and the Lagos
Business School Alumni.

is currently the Senior Partner of PUNUKA Attorneys & Solicitors
and a seasoned Legal Practitioner with over 28 years experience in
diverse areas of law. He holds a Masters degree in Law (LLM) from Robert
Gordon University Wales, and from the University of Lagos respectively.
He also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He was
elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in August 2000,
before the age of 40, and has since earned a reputation for being a
thoroughbred practitioner. His practice areas include but not limited
to: Insolvency; Arbitration and Dispute Resolution; Consultancy &
Process Advisory Services; Public Private Partnership; Capital Markets;
Mergers & Acquisitions; Construction Law; Aviation Law and
Telecommunication law amongst others. He has represented high net-worth
individuals, major companies and institutions on several complex
transactions in the highest courts of Nigeria and elsewhere. He is a
Fellow of the International Bar Association; a Fellow of Chartered
Institute of Arbitrators London; a Fellow of Advertising Practitioners
Council of Nigeria; and Member of the prestigious international law
group of LAW (Lawyers Associated Worldwide). His experience in the oil
and gas industry include advising and working for reputable oil
companies such as Chevron International, Seplat Petroleum Ltd, Field
Offshore Design Engineering, to mention a few; In February 2012, he was
appointed by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as a
member of the Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force. He is the current
President of the Business Recovery & Insolvency Practitioners
Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN); and the Founder and Trustee of the
Capital Markets Association of Nigeria (CMSA). He is author of many
published books and articles and many scholarly papers in various fields
including oil and gas, arbitration and dispute resolution, insolvency,
mergers and acquisition, capital markets, advertising and insurance.

Alhaji Garba Bello Kankarofi frpa DIRECTOR |
 | Alhaji Garba Bello Kankarofi frpa
is a Professional broadcast marketer and Advertising regulator. His career has spanned decades of persistent practice across the country. He attended the Bayero University, Kano where he gained a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication in 1981.
He obtained the higher school certificate in 1974 and the same year worked with a media research group from the University of Michigan, USA. In October of the same year, he left the research group and joined the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation as Commercial Salesman.
He secured admission into university in 1978 and since his graduation from Bayero University in 1981, his career has risen steadily. In 1982, he became a Commercial Officer in the Kano State Broadcasting Corporation where he rose to Principal Commercial Officer (Radio/TV) 1984. In 1986, he ascended to the position of Controller of Commercial Services and in 1987 he became the Commercial Services Manager. In 1991 he was confirmed the Director of Marketing and Commercial Services (Radio/TV). In 1993 he was upgraded to the position of Director of Commercial Services and in September 2003 he reached the pinnacle of his profession, becoming the Managing Director of Radio Kano, during the administration of Dr. Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau.
In 1993 he was appointed into the Management Board of Kano Pillars Football Club in which he served as Director, Technical, a position he held till 1996. He was appointed Chairman of the football club by the then Military Governor of Kano State, Brid. Gen. Dominic Oneya and his tenure saw the rise of the Kano-based football club to national and continental prominence. In 2004 APCON bestowed on him the Fellowship of Advertising profession. He belongs to the older generation of Advertising practitioners. He served the Broadcast Organisations of Nigeria (BON) as chairman of the marketing committee for many years and his presence at the General Assembly of Broadcast Organizations of Nigeria has remained noticeable and remarkable. He is the only member of International Advertising Association (IAA) from northern Nigeria. In 1993, Adworld, a leading advertising journal, adjudged him the Best Commercial Director in Nigeria. He was elected the Best Advertising Practitioner in the Electronic Media category in a contest organized by the Body of Fellows of Advertising in 2005.He enjoys playing football and other sport and is Married with Children.
